Privacy Policy

Kidsake keeps your family's videos on your device. We never see them.

Last updated: March 23, 2026

In short: Kidsake stores all data on your device. We run no servers and collect no personal data. We sell nothing to anyone.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Kidsake works on your device. We do not collect or transmit:

  • Videos or photos you record or import
  • Your children's names, dates of birth, or identifying information
  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Usage tracking or analytics
  • Advertising identifiers

Your videos, milestones, and family data stay on your iPhone. Kidsake has no cloud sync and no server-side processing.

2. Device Permissions

Kidsake requests these permissions, each used for the stated purpose and only when you grant access:

  • Camera to record video within the app.
  • Microphone to capture audio with your recordings.
  • Photo Library to import existing videos and save compiled highlight reels.
  • Notifications to send optional daily reminders. These are local notifications processed on your device.

You can revoke permissions through your iPhone's Settings app. The app will still function with reduced capabilities.

3. Subscription & Payments

Kidsake offers a yearly subscription through Apple's App Store. Apple processes all payments. We do not receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

For details on how Apple handles purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage & Security

Kidsake stores videos, thumbnails, milestones, kid profiles, and compilations on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and your file system.

Your device's encryption, Face ID / Touch ID, and passcode protect this data. We have no remote access to it.

Deleting the app removes all Kidsake data from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Parents and guardians use Kidsake to record memories of their children. The app is not directed at children under 13.

All data stays on-device. We collect no personal information and transmit no data about children to ourselves or third parties. Kidsake complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

6. Third-Party Services

Kidsake uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. The only external interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for subscription management.

If you share a video or compilation through the system share sheet, the receiving service (Messages, AirDrop, etc.) handles that data under its own privacy policy.

7. Data Export & Deletion

You can save videos and compilations to your Photo Library through the in-app save and share options.

To delete all Kidsake data, delete the app from your device. No data lives outside your phone, so deletion is complete. We have no servers to request deletion from.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we change this policy. Kidsake does not collect email addresses, so check back here when you want to see updates.

Your family's data stays on your device. That will not change.
